“Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)” – Mandatory from May 1, 2025

Bangkok, April 2, 2025 – The Immigration Bureau of Thailand, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has officially announced the implementation of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) – a fully digital entry form system for all foreign nationals entering Thailand. The system will become mandatory starting May 1, 2025, covering entry via air, land, and sea.

This digital transformation is part of the government’s broader initiative to modernize immigration processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve the overall travel experience while supporting Thailand’s sustainability goals.

What is TDAC?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a pre-arrival online registration system that replaces the traditional TM6 paper form. All non-Thai travelers must complete the TDAC before arriving in the country.

Registration must be completed via the official website:

How It Works

  • Complete the TDAC form online within 3 days before your arrival in Thailand.

  • Enter the following required information:

    • Passport details

    • Personal information

    • Flight or entry details

    • Accommodation in Thailand

    • Health declaration

  • Receive a digital confirmation with a QR code sent to your registered email.

  • Present the QR code (digital or printed) to Immigration Officers upon arrival.

Why TDAC Matters

The TDAC is designed to streamline border control processes with a focus on:

  • Reducing time spent on arrival procedures

  • Eliminating the need for paper-based forms

  • Increasing data security and accuracy

  • Supporting Thailand’s “Smart Destination” policy

Important Reminders

  • TDAC is compulsory for all foreign visitors from May 1, 2025 onward.

  • Failure to complete the TDAC prior to arrival may result in entry delays or denied entry.

  • Travelers should keep a digital or printed copy of their TDAC QR code when arriving in Thailand.
